Dr. Torregrossa joined BIEEGL as a clinical psychologist in 2023. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her master and PhD in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University. She completed a clinical internship at Sharp Healthcare, and a postdoctoral fellowship in psychotic disorders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
Clinically, Dr. Torregrossa specializes in assessing youths at clinical high risk for psychosis and treating people at various stages of a psychotic disorder using cognitive behavioral, recovery-oriented, and acceptance-based approaches. Dr. Torregrossa's research focuses on bodily-self disturbances and the impact of childhood trauma in schizophrenia. Her work uses behavioral tasks and novel statistical tools to empirically capture the phenomenology and etiology of psychotic disorders.
Outside of work, she likes trying out new outdoor activities (latest surfing), connecting to her French roots by cooking or eating delicious food, learning languages (currently Russian), and traveling.
