Kate Wiley graduated from Scripps College in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology, focusing on cognitive neuroscience. During college, she studied age differences in attention and emotional regulation, and her other research experience includes working at the Stanford Systems Neuroscience and Pain Lab, using MRI to understand chronic pain. Kate also worked in a mental health institute during college, which developed her interest in schizophrenia and mood disorders. She hopes to use her neuroimaging background to bring light to the neural correlates that underlie these disorders. In the future, she'd like to pursue Clinical Neuropsychology with a dual emphasis in clinical treatment and research.
When Kate isn't poring over brain images or EEG data, she likes to rock climb, hike and play music.
