Welcome to the Brain Imaging and EEG Laboratory. BIEEGL is a clinical and cognitive neuroscience laboratory
dedicated to understanding schizophrenia. The scientists at BIEEGL use advanced imagining techniques to study the
brain structure and function of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. People without schizophrenia who meet other research
criteria may participate as part of a control group to compare the brains of people with schizophrenia and healthy people to
learn about the causes of psychotic symptoms.
BIEEGL is a University of California, San Francisco research laboratory located at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. The lab also conducts research at the University of California, San Francisco and has an additional lab at the Butler Building of
the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute.
